DNT and local cabins

Should you prefer hiking to your accommodation, there are cabins that require hiking from 0 to more than 1800 vertical meters. How about waking up at the new and uniquely designed Tungestølen Tourist Cabin, or on top of Mt. Skåla and the Skålabu Cabin, where you can enjoy the sunrise at 1850 meters above sea level?

The Norwegian Trekking Association owns some of the cabins listed here, and local branches of the association own others. Please note that you may have to book your stay in advance and get hold of a key to some of DNT’s cabins. The association has staffed, self-service and no-service cabins.
