Norwegian Glacier Museum in Fjærland
The Norwegian Glacier Museum & Ulltveit-Moe Climate Centre in Fjærland is an interactive museum for the whole family that gives you knowledge of the glaciers and climate in new and innovative ways. The exhibition covers topics within natural sciences and cultural history, and everything is available to you in 13 languages. Join in on an exciting journey through Norwegian cultural history, take a walk below the glacier, and do your own experiments with real glacier ice. The marvellous panoramic film about Jostedalsbreen National Park is shown every half hour on Europe’s largest seamless canvas.
Breheimsenteret in Jostedalen
Breheimsenteret is the natural starting point if you wish to experience glacier hikes, kayaking, rafting, and nature guiding in the Jostedalen valley.
The characteristic building holds a lunch restaurant, tourist information and museum exhibition, and it offers you an amazing view of Nigardsbreen glacier. The interactive exhibition focuses especially on glaciers and climate in both Jostedalsbreen and Breheimen National Parks, as Breheimsenteret is a visitor centre for both parks. The cinema takes you on a journey to the mighty glaciers through the seasons, from glacier hiking on the blue ice during summer to skiing on the plateau during winter.
Jostedalsbreen National Park Center in Oppstryn
Visitor Center Jostedalsbreen National Park is situated in glorious surroundings by the Oppstrynsvatnet lake, surrounded by steep mountains and lush valleys on the north side of Jostedalsbreen.
The visitor centre focuses on nature qualities, cultural heritage and the people living around Jostedalsbreen. Join in on a tour of the botanical garden outside and learn more about the plants we find around Jostedalsbreen.
